Release of the Prefet Mansillon's Report on Mining Scheme in French Guiana
A new Scheme for Mining development in French Guiana has been published. When the President Nicolas Sarkozy rejected the Iamgold Mine project at Kaw Mountain in February 2008, he engaged himself to define a new scheme for gold mining development that will respect the biodiversity richness ("définir le cadre d’une exploitation de l’or respectueuse des richesses de la biodiversité").
